How do I sell my items with you?
Bring them in to the store and we will sort through your items and select those that are suitable. For full details about consigning with us, visit our consignment page.
How do I get paid?
We sell on your behalf - you will receive 50% of the achieved sales price. You can use your credit to spend instore, or collect cash payments for amounts under $50 (if available). Payments by internet banking do not happen automatically - contact us by email or phone to request payment. Credits must be used and/or redeemed within 12 months.
What brands do you accept?
Brands we like: Zara, Country Road, Max, Cos, Kowtow, Trelise, Nom D, Zambessi, Taylor, Helga May, Kate Sylvester, Juliette Hogan, Moochie, Witchery, Elk, Gorman, Zoe Kratzmann, Briarwood, Standard Issue, Loobies Story, Verge, Seeking Lola, Karen Walker, Helen Cherry, Ganni, Deadly Ponies, Ruby, Levis, Rolla's, Ketze, Eva's Sunday, Twenty Seven Names, Lululemon, Camilla + Marc.
We do love natural fibres - linen, cotton, silk.
We price them based on knowledge of retail value, quality, brand, condition and style.
What are you looking for at the moment?
We only sell womenswear, and prefer to accept items that are for the current or upcoming seasons.
What are your opening hours?
Our store at The Tannery is open 10am - 5pm, 7 days a week.
Can I purchase products online?
At the moment we do not sell our pieces online, so you will need to visit us in-store.
Do you accept returns?
All sales are final, no returns or exchanges.
Do you accept mens and kids items?
No - we only sell womenswear.
Wear Else Gift Cards
1. How can I purchase a Wear Else gift card?
Gift cards are available for purchase in-store. You can choose any denomination starting from $20. Just visit us, and our team will be happy to assist you.
2. How long is the gift card valid for?
Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Make sure to use the balance before the expiry date.
3. Where can I use the gift card?
Gift cards can be redeemed in-store at Wear Else.
4. Can I check my gift card balance?
Yes! To check your remaining balance, please visit us in-store, email us or give us a call.
5. What happens if I lose my gift card?
Unfortunately, Wear Else cannot replace lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards. Please treat them like cash.
6. Can I use the gift card partially?
Absolutely. If your purchase amount is less than the value of the gift card, the remaining balance can be used for future purchases within the validity period.

Terms and Conditions
1. Agreement to Terms
By consigning items with Wear Else, you ("the Consignor") agree to the following terms and conditions. Wear Else ("the Company") reserves the right to amend these terms at any time.
2. Account & Identification
The Consignor must provide a valid government-issued photo ID when consigning items for the first time.
The Consignor is responsible for ensuring that their contact details are up to date.
3. Item Acceptance & Processing
Acceptance Criteria: We accept quality pre-loved womenswear and accessories that are clean, damage-free, and in-season.
Drop-off Process: Items are accepted every day without the need for an appointment. We will sort through your items while you browse the store and return any that are not required.
Bring Your Best Pieces: To ensure a smooth process, we recommend bringing only a few of your best items at a time. This helps us manage stock effectively and provide the best chance of selling your pieces.
Right of Refusal: Any item may be returned if deemed unsuitable upon further inspection.
4. Ownership & Authenticity
The Consignor confirms they own or have the legal right to sell all items provided.
Luxury designer items may require proof of authenticity. If authenticity cannot be confirmed, items may be priced lower or declined.
5. Sales, Pricing & Commission
The Company sets the sale price at its discretion: Prices are determined based on factors such as brand, condition, current market demand, and retail value. We aim to price competitively to ensure the best chance of selling your items.
If you’d like to request a price change, a $5 handling fee per item will apply.
Pricing Strategy: Items are listed at full price for the first 4 weeks, then reduced by 30% for 2 weeks. After that, they will move to the Last Chance rack at 50% off the sale price for the final 2 weeks. Consignors can choose to opt out of the final markdown and have their items returned after 6 weeks.
Commission Rate: The Consignor receives 50% of the final sale price.
6. Consignment Period & Item Uplift
Consignment Duration: Items remain for sale for an 8-week cycle.
Early Uplift: At any time during the 8-week cycle, the Consignor may retrieve consigned items. A $5 fee per item applies. Please contact the store so we can locate your items, and we will notify you when they are ready for collection.
Alternative Consignment Option: If you prefer that your items do not reach the final sale stage, they can be consigned for 4 weeks at full price, 2 weeks at a reduced price, and then returned to you.
7. Unsold Items
Post-Consignment: If items remain unsold after the 8-week period, you have 2 weeks to collect them. Uncollected items after this timeframe will be donated to Dress for Success or Hospice.
8. Payment & Expiry
Payment Process: Consignors receive 50% of the final sale price. Payments can be taken as cash (if under $50 and available), paid via internet banking, or used as in-store credit. Please contact us by email or phone to request payment; internet banking payments are not automatic.
Unclaimed Funds: Balances unclaimed 2 years after the last sale may be forfeited.
9. Liability & Disputes
Care of Items: While we take reasonable care of consigned items, Wear Else is not responsible for any loss or damage to your consigned merchandise.
Consignor Responsibility: The Consignor is responsible for tracking their inventory, sales, and payment collection.
10. Sales Policy
Final Sale: All sales are final; we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
Item Inspection: Please check items carefully before purchasing, as second-hand items may show signs of wear.
11. Amendments
Policy Changes: Wear Else may amend these terms at any time.
By consigning items with Wear Else, the Consignor acknowledges and agrees to these terms.
